After teaching for four years, I was drawn to counseling so I could focus more deeply on each person’s individual needs and experiences. My counseling style is supportive, collaborative, and centered on helping clients feel safe, heard, and valued in every session. I believe that building trust is the foundation of a healthy therapeutic relationship, and I strive to create a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. Together, we will work collaboratively to develop treatment goals and create meaningful steps toward growth and healing while I support and guide you throughout the process

I have a background in early childhood education with over four years of experience teaching preschool and kindergarten in low-income schools. I also have experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum, as well as working with adolescents, teenagers, and adults. During my clinical internship at a child advocacy center, I worked closely with children and families delivering trauma-informed care. My focus areas include working with children, adolescents, teenagers and adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a person-centered philosophy, where I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and change when provided with a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. I work collaboratively with my clients, valuing their lived experiences and empowering them to take an active role in their healing journey. While the foundation of my work is person-centered, I often integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, build coping skills, and process past experiences. My goal is to meet each client where they are and tailor therapy to their unique needs and goals.
