PsyD, LPC/A ยท Therapist

My journey into counseling began before I entered the therapy room. While volunteering in mental health facilities during my undergraduate studies, I discovered a passion for walking alongside people during some of life’s most difficult moments. That experience inspired me to pursue a degree in Therapeutic Recreation, followed by a master’s degree in psychology and doctoral-level studies in Psychology.

Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals in a variety of settings, including acute inpatient mental health, correctional mental health, and outpatient therapy with individuals, couples, and families.

As my path changed to become a counselor, I have come to find that counseling provides a unique way of helping people, and this is what drives me to be in this field. I have always seen that mental health does not discriminate, it can impact anyone, and everyone needs a helping hand at times. I feel that I can offer my experiences to help others and show them an authentic person who wants to help them. I am a counselor, yes, but I am also someone who can joke with you, empathize with you, cry with you, and help you towards your potential.
